We are excited to announce the official launch of the WP3 Social Impact Manager Education Programme, a milestone in the Social Impact Manager (SIM) project designed to empower professionals who want to shape a more socially responsive future of work.
The SIM Education Programme is an initiative developed by a consortium of fourteen partners from seven European countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Greece, Ireland and Italy. The partners fall into three categories:
- Higher education institutions and VET providers
- Business networks and Platforms
- Companies and organisations working in the education sector
These partners share a vision to facilitate and equip changemakers with the skills and tools they need to drive positive social impact within businesses, institutions, and communities.
Why the Social Impact Manager Role Matters
In today’s rapidly evolving labour market, the need for professionals who understand both economic and social value has never been greater. Businesses are increasingly expected not only to perform financially but also to demonstrate a commitment to social responsibility, sustainability, and inclusive growth.
The Social Impact Manager is a new and emerging professional profile that responds to this demand. Positioned at the intersection of business, society, and policy, this role is designed to ensure that social values are embedded in every layer of decision-making, from strategy and operations to innovation and collaboration.
This education programme is built to support professionals from all backgrounds, whether in HR, sustainability, project management, or business development, who are ready to take on the challenge of creating shared value for organisations and the communities they serve.

- Inclusive: Accessible in six languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Croatian), ensuring broad reach across our partner countries and beyond.
- Innovative: Grounded in the latest thinking around social innovation, corporate social responsibility, and participatory leadership.
We are also proud to offer the SIM Education Programme Guide, which outlines the structure, learning outcomes, and implementation options for training institutions, educators, and employers. SIM Education Programme – Social Impact Manager
Following the design and release of the SIM Education Programme, we’ve already moved into the next phase of pilot testing. Across our six partner countries, learners and training providers are engaging with the programme in real-time and providing valuable insights that will shape the final rollout.
These pilot programmes will help us ensure the education model is both effective and adaptable to diverse contexts—whether implemented within universities, vocational education, or workplace training initiatives.
