Earlier this summer, Paris became the hub for social innovation as the French Social Impact Manager training programme took place from 17th to 26th June. Organised and led by Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and ESS France, the programme brought together a diverse group of aspiring changemakers committed to driving positive social impact.
Following a successful registration process, 22 trainees embarked on an intensive journey through five expert-led modules, designed to equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to create lasting impact within their communities and organisations.
The training modules included:
Corporate Governance and Strategy delivered by Laurent Vidal
Territorial Analysis: delivered by Claudine Gillot
Stakeholder Engagement: delivered by Charles Benoît, Yann Ulliac (Le RAMEAU)
Project Management: delivered by Pivoine Houy
Impact Assessment and Reporting: delivered by Anne-Laure Hernandez (Improve), Maëla Valembois (UDES), Antoine Détourné (ESS France)
In addition to the training sessions, the programme featured a dynamic hackathon event. Collaborating with two local communities (Les Mureaux and Paris Marne Est et Bois) as well as two company representatives, participants worked on innovative solutions to address real-world social challenges.
Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and ESS France extend their heartfelt thanks to all trainees, trainers, and community partners for their dedication and contributions. From this collaboration between academia, social enterprises, and local communities across Europe, the Social Impact Manager education programme continues to strengthen the ecosystem between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community development.
