Launching SIM Ezine Issue 2: Highlights and Insights

We are happy to announce the release of the second issue of the SIM Ezine. This edition marks a significant milestone in the Social Impact Manager (SIM) project as we transition from the Engage phase to the Design phase.

The SIM project successfully completed the Engage phase, where extensive research and analysis were conducted to understand the needs of companies and local communities across Italy, Greece, France, Croatia, and Austria. This groundwork is crucial for developing the competencies of the Social Impact Manager, a new managerial profile focused on enhancing social and environmental well-being alongside financial growth.

Our consortium mapped and assessed the needs of companies and local communities in the five partner countries. This analysis provides a robust foundation for developing the SIM curriculum and training path. The CSR & Community Development Report is available in multiple languages, including English, Italian, Greek, German, French, and Croatian and can be downloaded here: Engage – Social Impact Manager (simproject.eu)

The second project meeting held on June 5-6 in Rijeka, Croatia, marked the official launch of the Design phase. Hosted by the Faculty of Economics at the University of Rijeka (EFRI UNIRI), the event brought together representatives from all 14 partners of the SIM consortium. The meeting included a presentation of the Engage phase findings and a co-design workshop to draft the initial elements of the Social Impact Manager Educational Programme. In this issue, we introduce our Croatian partners who played a pivotal role in hosting the second project meeting: EFRI UNIRI and Mreza Znanja.

The SIM project continues to advance with a clear plan for the upcoming months. Read more about the Design phase, and how we will create an educational program to train future Social Impact Managers, incorporating insights gained from our research. The co-designed elements of the Educational Programme will be further developed and refined with the aim of testing and implementation. The collaboration and shared commitment among partners set a strong foundation for the project’s success, promising impactful outcomes in CSR education.
